Undead

I've always been a huge fan of zombie-themed games, movies, and horror worlds, so I decided to create this Undead as a personal creature study focused on realism, anatomy, texturing, and presentation.
The goal was to design a believable undead character with natural forms, avoiding stylized shapes and pushing for a more grounded and realistic look. During the process, I also used the project as an opportunity to further improve my creature workflow and texturing skills.
My main inspirations came from Resident Evil, Dying Light, Dead Island 2, and The Walking Dead.
Pipeline:
High-poly sculpting in ZBrush
Blood, saliva, skin details, hair, and secondary effects created in ZBrush
Texturing in Substance Painter
Rendering and presentation in Marmoset Toolbag
This character is actually part of a larger collectible statue project currently in development, where this Undead will be featured as one of the creatures included in the final piece.
More to come soon.
